0%... No snake is "poisonous" there are about 10-15% of snake species that are venomous. I make this point because it's a common misconception, poison can be injected, ingested, inhaled, and absorbed, venom can only enter through an open wound (i.e. bite or cut).
Only twenty percent of all snakes are venomous; and considering that there are over 3000 types of snakes in the world, that's pretty good. Of the twenty percent that are poisonous, only seven percent have the venomous ability to kill a human. So, if you really think about it, it is quite foolish to be afraid on snakes in the USA. (Note: Most deadly snakes inhabit Asia and South America.)
I would say about 3% of the worlds snakes but that's a rough guess. No-one knows for sure, but that is quite a big percentage considering there are 3000 species of snake.
About 15% are venomous. Note that there is a difference between venom and poison.
Globally - I would estimate less than 1% of the population has snakes as 'pets'.
About 15%. The rest are constrictors.

None, there are no poisonous snakes. There are venomous snakes but not poisonous. The difference is the poison is usually on the skin of an animal like a frog, and you touch the poison and then get hurt. Venom is emitted by fangs or spikes into your skin or a body part and injected into you. There are no poisonous snakes.

The anti-venom for many poisonous snakes, as well as a few other medically valuable substances, are made from the venom of poisonous snakes. Also, if someone has to handle poisonous snakes regularly, if they are milked on a set schedule, it reduces the danger of a bite from one of the snakes - the venom injected would be a tiny amount of normal.
