What is phobia of pooping in public washrooms?

Parauresis is the "medical term" for it, but it counts more as the inability to urinate in a public bathroom. I havent been able to come up with the actual "____-phobic" by searching the internet. IMPROVED: The phobia is Agoraphobia. I suffer from it. It's a silly and awful anxiety/fear to live with. It usually confines people to their houses because that is a deemed "safe area". The "phobia" term for the fear of public bathrooms is "lutropublicaphobia".

Is being alone a phobia?

If you are just on your own, then that's not a phobia, however if you are afraid of being alone, then it becomes a phobia. It's like if you're holding a spider, but you don't have aracniphobia, then it doesn't bother you, but if you do, it's really difficult to continue holing the spider. If you are like me and you don't like being left on your own in a house or office, then it's not really neccessry to think that you have a phobia. I don't think i have a phobia, i just don't like being left by myself. However, if it gets to a point when you actually can't be left on your own without dissolving into hysteria, then i would consider consulting my GP.

What phobia is the fear of being left alone?

The phobia related to the extreme fear of being alone is known as Isolophobia, Autophobia, or Monophobia. The phobia can manifest itself in several different ways. Some people experience a constant fear of being alone. These individuals feel that they must consistently be in the company of others. In this form, the phobia can have a huge impact on the individual's quality of life and may require years of therapy. Other people only experience the extreme fear of being alone when triggered by some sort of stimuli. This stimulus may be related to a traumatic event in their past that has been linked in the mind to being alone. In a way it is merely a defense mechanism. The fear is created to avoid ever finding yourself in a similar situation to that which caused so much suffering in the past.See Related Links for a complete list of phobias and their meaningsSee Related Links for an online assessment to find out if you may be suffering from an extreme fear of being alone
