It's almost totally random.....the biggest risk factor is undescended testicle from birth, which ups your risk about 15-fold. And it affects caucasions more than Hispanics and MUCH more than African Americans.

Having said all that, it's rare and the odds of getting it are slim.

Cooked tomatoes are really good for that. Also, frequent orgasms reduce the risk of prostate cancer. So be sure to have have an active sex life (even if it is only with yourself) and eat plenty of cooked tomatoes.

Also don't smoke, keep your your weight at a healthy level and eat foods with lots of antioxidants (spinach, bluberries). These things will stave off any form of cancer.
