He wanted the Catholic churches to stop taking money for people's evil-doings to be forgiven. He saw right through their crave for money and realized very soon that they sold parchments that made God "forgive" you and erase whatever bad you'd done. Martin Luther did not like this, so he hung a parchment on the church door with things he wanted to change.
