There is still a Christian population (mainly Orthodox Armenians, Syrian Christians, and a small Greek population) in Istanbul, but it has been dwindling since the events of 1915. Non-Muslims made up approx. 50% of the population of Istanbul in 1914. They now number around 100,000. There is also a small Jewish population estimated to be around 3,000.
