I dont think arranged marriages are done by a particular religion its done in some cultures. Western culture people prefer love marriage while in asian/indian culture generally arranged marriage is done..

∙ 15y agoIt is not so much a question of country but of culture. Arranged marriages are part of the culture of the Middle East and India but now many of the peoples from this area live in countries throughout the world and the practice of arranged marriage has gone with them.
A willing arranged marriage between two people is not illegal in any country, (though forced arranged marriage is) and for many people the practice seems to work.

∙ 13y agoHindu religion oftentimes still arranges marriages, but I believe that it is a more modern version of arrangement. Couples are not forced into marriage, it is more like a blind date with high hopes for compatibility. Islam may also still perform arranged marriages, and a few other Eastern religions.
