I dont think arranged marriages are done by a particular religion its done in some cultures. Western culture people prefer love marriage while in asian/indian culture generally arranged marriage is done..
It is not so much a question of country but of culture. Arranged marriages are part of the culture of the Middle East and India but now many of the peoples from this area live in countries throughout the world and the practice of arranged marriage has gone with them.
A willing arranged marriage between two people is not illegal in any country, (though forced arranged marriage is) and for many people the practice seems to work.
Hindu religion oftentimes still arranges marriages, but I believe that it is a more modern version of arrangement. Couples are not forced into marriage, it is more like a blind date with high hopes for compatibility. Islam may also still perform arranged marriages, and a few other Eastern religions.
The Hebrews were very into arranged marriage but I don't know of any MODERN religions that are into arranged marriages. They silly if you ask me...

Arranged marriage is a cultural customary phenomenon. Religions often are modified slightly to fit the local cultures. Buddhism has nothing to do with arranged marriages.
true
Marriages should be arranged if the two people involved want them to be.
Arranged marriages were very common throughout the world until the 18th century. In China, arranged marriages sometimes called blind marriages were the norm before the mid 20th century
prearranged marriages are arranged years before the date. prearranged marriages are arranged years before the date. prearranged marriages are arranged years before the date.
Arranged marriages don't always work.

Most are very much against arranged marriages, at least in the Western world.
Marriages were sometimes arranged in the United States in the early 20th Century. Men who moved out West wanted to have wives so they looked in newspapers for singles' ads or posted singles' ads. Women would then come to the West to meet the man and get married. This was once known as "mail order brides".
Arranged marriages leave no scope for interfaith marriages so that means a particular religion propagates through progeny and the numbers are maintained
