If your dog starts the attack, pull your dog away with the leash and get out of there! If your dog gets injured somewhere, clean the wound so it doesn't get infected. If the stray dog gets injured, DO NOT TOUCH IT. Instead, get an adult or call animal control.
i would take it to the vet immediately to see what injuries have been inflicted upon it. if the injuries are significant, you could actually sue the owner of the other dog. hope your dog will be o.k.
if have been in this situation before - try and get your dog away from the other dog - turn in the other direction,, if possible get your dog up someones drive - shout really loudly to scare the dog off - you have every right to boot the dog if it makes contact with you dog... if ever in doubt, carry a stick - you can then always put your dog and yourself in between the stick n the other dog also call the dog warden.animal control - this is an offence - a dog dangerously out of control in a public place
Breaking up a dog fight is a good way to be mauled yourself. If you are going to attempt it, you need to be very careful, know what you are doing, and realize even then you are still taking a serious risk. See the related link below for more information.
Take your dog to a Licensed Veterinarian to ensure your dog has not contracted rabies. But first, take pictures & find out if the offending dog has an owner (and who they are & where they live) or if you need to contact Animal Control in your area to ensure capture in case your worst fears are realized.
I would say, that you should keep your dog on a leash if he is going around humping things. In a change of state, its the other dogs fault. GOOGLE IT!!!
The owner of the leashed dog is liable. If the dog that is on its own property is attacked, the owner should pay for the "home" dog's care. The owner of the leashed dog is still responsible for its behavior.
Dogs should be on a leash in Anderson, SC. Only dogs that are actively hunting are allowed to be off leash.
The owner of the cat & possibly you if you &/or your dog were trespassing on the owner's property or if your dog was not on a leash.
No it should not be aloud. If you walk by someone and they are off the leash they could bite them , or they can run away
sit on him/her and put a harness on him/her and grab the harness and put a leash on it and walk the dog
Yes, you should probably put a lead on the bunny, not a collar, because you don't want the bunny to choke. The hook to attach the leash would then rest on the bunny's back, and you can attach the leash and take your bunny out for hops around the block. My bunny enjoyed hopping around the yard with me. I would take her everywhere... Just be careful if a dog approaches you will want to pick your bunny up. Also, if you need to get back home, you might have to carry your bunny...
Most people use a 6 foot leash, but you can also use a longer leash. Whatever is more comfortable for you.
With a leash or you should carry it in a small animal cage.
No, there is not. Cats do not have to be on a leash in West Virginia. However, they should have a collar with a name tag on it should they ever get lost or taken to the animal shelter.
Well, it depends on what you mean. If you mean walking an actual dog, then that's easy. The dog should have a leash and collar, the collar should have a metal hook, and so should the leash. You hook the leash onto the collar and then grab the other end of the leash. When you hold the leash, start walking and the dog should start walking too. If the dog doesn't then you should keep trying to get him to until he does. If you're talking about the yo-yo trick then it's when you take the yo-yo, hold the little loop on the end of the string, push the yo-yo in front of you and keep it there, as if it was a dog that you were watching.
Any short leash will be suitable for training a Collie puppy. The most important training technique is using a short leash while teaching the puppy to walk at one's side and not pull on the leash. Long reel leashes are not recommended for training the puppy. The short leash should always be slack.
