Can anyone tell me why my new battery goes dead in my 1997 Buick Ultra Park Ave?
A Holden Statesman is a car. This vehicle also goes by many other names such as Holden Caprice, Buick Park Avenue, Chevrolet Caprice and Buick Royaum to name a few.
1999 buick park avenue cuts off while driveing during excelleration and dash board goes black, rpms dont work when driveing it while driveing it after it dies,if i pull over and restart it dash board comes back on and rpm gauge works, untill it cuts off again
It is a special blend oil called "Supercharger Oil" The GM dealers can get it however it will cost around $8-$10 for a 4 oz bottle. Thank you, From www.SuperchargersOnline.com
It goes in where your dipstick is in the back of motor compartment
I suspect it is because the pedal return is weak. My Park Avenue does the same thing. I can lift the pedal with very little pressure from my toe and the indicator goes off.
Mopar ATF +4
Remove one at a time to determine which each controls
If the noise is coming from the engine area, it is most likely a loose and/or worn drive belt. Try pouring water on the belt when it makes the noise. If noise goes away, then suspect a belt.
This may or not be some help, but I had my tach go dead (on my 98 Park Avenue) about 2 weeks ago and it turned out to be a dead cell in my battery causing the problem. Seems that the tach is pretty particular about getting it's full quota of voltage and goes away when it gets too low.
== == I do believe if you hear a knocking noise that your crank shaft could be failing. Which means you will need a new engine. Have it checked out. Replace the harmonic balancer they will make a bad knocking noise. When you start it and the oil light goes out and it knocks, this is what is wrong with it.
it'll start and u can drive for a while but when it gets hot it will shut off....u will have to wait 30 min. to an hour then it will start up and go like nothing ever happened...until it gets hot again...if u really need it to start after it shuts off( like if u are in the middle of the road) bang on the module itself then start it
