If a person performs Hajj correctly, physically and mentally, it can erase all their past sins and the person starts off on a clean slate (like a baby). In terms of this life, people get sense of peace and tranquility among other things. Usually most people are in awe when the see so many other Muslims gathered and upon seeing the Kabaa. You also learn to have patience. After returning for the Hajj, one is supposed to try to act better than did before they went. Many people change for the rest of their lives (they might develop a habit of praying extra daily prayers, for instance, and keep that habit up until they die).

Apart from performing a religious duty, a pilgrim can learn a lot by going to hajj and seeing people. As the Muslims from all over the world gather at the same place, a sense of universal brotherhood is developed among the people. The gathering in the field of Arafat, putting on the same white sheets like the coffin of the dead, eyes filled with tears, offering prayers, bowing to Allah Almighty, reciting verses and prayers from the holy Quran all teach a lesson of unity, faith, Oneness of Allah Karim, humility, sacrifice, helpfulness, and a lot more. Actually, performing hajj includes all forms of worship of ONE Allah Karim. It may, and it should, prove a turning point in the life of a Haji. May Allah (SWA) give us a chance of performing Haj and visiting the holy city of our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (May peace and blessings of Allah Karim be upon him) - Madina Munawara. A'meen.

Hajj is a symbol of submission to God and Muslim Unity:Every year more than two million Muslims, from 70 different countries, travel to Makkah and Medina with the purpose of undertaking the great obligation of Hajj. It is an exemplary example of equality and unity when the pilgrims gather together for Hajj. Muslims who belong to different nations, cultures, social and economical status are all dressed in two pieces of unsown cloth. All perform the same rites. There is no difference of rich and poor, all stand in front of their Lord in submission and humility.

Hajj provides a unique opportunity for Muslims to meet each other, understand each other, increase in love, get closer, improve and resolve relationships. It is from the blessings of God during Hajj that one is in continuous opportunity to gain good deeds by treating one's Muslim brethren in the best way. And aid the poor and needy, which is also from the means of achieving great rewards from God.

Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam. Performing Hajj once in lifetime is obligatory on each Muslim man and woman if he/she can afford. Here is the detail about Hajj. Hajj is celebrated during the month of Zil Hajja. It is the fifth pillar of Islam. It is a tradition established by Hazrat Abraham (Ibraheem in Arabic) as per command of Almighty Allah Karim. He built Ka'abah and announced to the people (all humans -born or yet to born). Miraculously, his voice echoed through the universe- even the heavens above. All the Souls, yet to born, who answered to the call saying: Labbaik Allah Humma Labbaik… Here I come, O my Allah, Here I present myself to you… are destined to perform Hajj.
