Rust is cause by the oxidation of Iron.
Basically, when Iron reacts with Oxygen, Rust is fromed.
2Fe2 + 3O2 ---> 2Fe2O3 (Rust)
For this reason, it is only things made out of Iron that can rust.
I hope I helped! :)
Metal, steel, iron, and many other solid things used to construct buildings and build many other things.
Freshwater(pure water),bleach, vinegar saltwater, peroixde ,and alochol are some substances that causes rust.
science
Iron and oxygen.
iron
metal
Oxygen and Water
The most obvious factors necessary for the corrosion of iron (or the making of rust) is water and oxygen. Iron will not rust if it is kept away from water and oxygen
the presence of oxygen is the main condition that causes rust. however, many other substances can cause rust such as salt and water, lemon juice and coca-cola as well!
I suppose that you thank to low reactivity to oxygen.
Substances oxidize because that process leaves them in a less energetic state. Rust is simply one kind of oxidization
metal
None of those substances rust.
Rust refers to a reddish or yellowish-brown flaky coating of iron oxide. Some substances that remove rust from a nail are white vinegar, lime and salt, baking soda and oxalic acid.

Chemical process by which oxygen which combines with other substances to form oxidation. Also how rust can, well rust your blood cells,so take your vitamins, and VITAMIN E
Air, iron and water will cause the iron to rust.

When iron gets wet or comes into contact with water, it is likely to rust. However, some iron products are coated with substances that help prevent rust.
Yes. Because of the extra oxygen, the mass may decrease. On the other hand, if the rust falls off, the mass may decrease. Of course, the total mass of the substances involved (metal + oxygen --> rust) will remain constant.
Both result in "new" substances (ash, smoke, rust).
