When You Turn 14 . . .

You can work in an: office, grocery store, retail store, restaurant, movie theater, Baseball park, amusement park, or gasoline service station.

You generally may not work in: communications or public utilities jobs, construction or repair jobs, driving a motor vehicle or helping a driver, manufacturing and mining occupations, power-driven machinery or hoisting apparatus other than typical office machines, processing occupations, public messenger jobs, transporting of persons or property, workrooms where products are manufactured, mined or processed, or warehousing and storage.

In addition, you may not work any other job or occupation declared hazardous by the Secretary of Labor.

Different rules apply to farms, and individual States may have stricter rules.

in Felix stowe you can go down to the sea front and ask down there for a summer job or go to your local market and see if you can get a job helping out somebody.

I'm 15 but when i was 14 i got a job around my neighborhood. if you love animals you could start a cat/dog sitting in your neighborhood. you name the animal i do it. i started at $5 a day. and am going to change it for dogs cause they are more responsibility. start with people you know like relatives. if you start with someone you don't know they might ask you if you have experience. that's what i did. i started with with my relatives. hope this helps.

Mowing Lawns is something a 14 year old can do.

Some good paying jobs for summer would be baby-sitting, cleaning pools, mowing lawns.

And for those people who don't like to do that stuff here are some better jobs, Publix, and all other grocery stores like that. =]

It is possible however you can only have jobs like being a paper carrier or other boring jobs

If you live in a neighborhood or you're good with kids, you can take up babysitting. Another thing you could do is go door to door and ask if people need help raking leaves, or shoveling snow, etc. Hope this helps!(:

i think that's pretty much it because you need a work permit (where I live) and you cant get one until you're 15. you could also be a babysitter or do things around your neighborhood.
