3mm
No, the license plate light is wired in with the rear tail lights, not the brake lights.
The brake rotor minimum thickness is .060 This applies to either the 2.3CL or 3.0CL, front or rear rotors. Seems awfully thin for a brake rotor, doesn't it? Other sources say .83 in. (21mm)front, .35 in. (9mm) rear [AcuraFixerDave] That rotor thickness is probably the BRAKE PAD thickness minimum, not including the steel backing plate [AcuraFixerDave].
Change brake light bulbs Just remove the rear license plate. You can change the backup lights and brake light easily.
running or parking lights, or plate light, but that is singular.
The 1999 Mercury Sable license plate light and the right side brake light are on the same fuse. If the fuse was bad neither brake light would work. The problem probably is burnt out lightbulbs.
Modern automobiles have brake pad thickness sensors. My 2004 Forester has one on the rear and one on the front. The sensors are mounted on one brake pad each. When the brake pad wears down to a predetermined thickness the brake rotor wears the coating off of the sensor and provides the contact surface so that the connection is made between the two wires ( on some cars) or just provides ground on others. Now the brake indicator light comes on. The thickness of the pad where this happens is set so that you have some time to react before the metal backing plate of the brake pad comes into contact with the brake rotor and destroys it. The battery light means that a low voltage condition exists at the battery. Not in the battery, the light does not come on if your battery fails, it comes on because your altenator is not putting out enough voltage to power the vehicle. This could be altenator failure on the belt driving it has a problem. Loose or even broken. When the voltage falls below 7 volts your ignition system will fail and the engine will stop running not to mention that the electric starter won't function. Hope this helps.
The light is on because there is a fault somewher. To turn the light of you fix the fault.
The brake light, a red light shaped like a headlight on the dash means that one or more exterior lights are not working. It could be a taillight, brake light, side marker, license plate light, or third brake light. It stays on all the time if it's a side marker or any light besides the brake light. If it's the brake or third brake light it will come on only when you press the brake pedal.

Is this not the warning light for the handbrake ? may mean that the handbreak has not been fully disengaged .
I would replce at about 4mm to keep the pad from comming off the backing plate and causing damage.
Depends on the plate glass.
