What to do if your girlfriend thinks you cheated on her but you did not?

If you have already had a conversation with her and it leads only to more arguments, try going to a marriage counselor.

Invite her to follow you, read your mail, do whatever it takes to make her realize maybe she is just projecting her own insecurities on to you. Volunteer to go to counseling if she wants to. If she has been cheated on in a previos relationship, and you REALLY love her, eventually , she will get over this. Living with an insecure person is tiring and trying, but if your love is steadfast she will learn to trust you.

To clarify the situation. I had stupidly emailed someone of the same sex with the intention of hooking up, or not. I was really only doing it to get pictures, and I don't think I would have gone through with it. She caught me typing the email, and she is convinced anytime I deleted my history or texts, that I must have cheated. We had broken up because of it, and then got back together about 5 months later. She said she forgave me and was going to give me a second chance, but now she "misses" the guy she was with while we were broken up. I feel like if I can gain her trust back, then everything will be ok.

That is the problem though. No matter what i say, she doesnt think anything differently. I love this woman so much that normally, someone would have been done with her a while ago, but she is the one for me. I know it. Other than a polygraph test (which she says is stupid) I can't convince her that I would never even think about doing something like that again. Its not worth it. I love her too much. I don't know how to show her that. And if I buy things for her (which I would do regardless) she says i'm doing it out of guilt. I do things for her because I love her so much, its sick.
