There is no Q.
The United States is compiled with a total of 50 states. 48 of those states are part of what is called the Continental United States. All of those states are connected. The other 2 states, which are Alaska and Hawaii, are still states within the United States but are not "connected" to the rest of the country. I hope that helps.
Hawaii is the only US state that is not on the North American continent, therefore it is the only one that is not part of the "continental United States". To exclude Alaska also, you would use the phrase "contiguous United States", which means those that are connected.
You may be technically correct, but the phrase "continental United States" in common usage refers to the 48 connected states. These are sometimes called the "lower 48 states" but I don't know why.
As contiguous means touching or next to, the two states would be Hawaii and Alaska.
There are much too many cities and states to name that are not a part of the US.
The two states that are not one of the 48 contiguous states are Alaska and Hawaii.
48 states are part of the contiguous United States. Alaska and Hawaii do not touch any other U.S. state.
Alaska and Hawaii are not in the contiguous United States - meaning that they are not attached to the country. Alaska is attached to Canada, and is the biggest state in the USA. Hawaii is a series of islands off the Pacific coast, near California. So its California
48 states are contiguous. Two states, Alaska and Hawaii are non-contiguous.
hawaii hi Hawaii is not part of the 48 states.
There are 48 states, that are part of the contiguous U.S. The only sates that are not part of the contiguous U.S. are Alaska and Hawaii they represent the noncontiguousMATH PROBLEM:50-2=4848+2=50
Contiguous means that their borders are touching the continental US. Alaska and Hawaii do not touch the mainland.

Assuming you mean Lower and not Ower, it refers to the 48 contiguous continental states. Alaska and Hawaii not part of the 48.
The Continental or Contiguous US means the states that touch each other. The contiguous United States are the "Lower 48" States on the continent of North America that are south of Canada, plus the Capital (Washington, D.C.) The term excludes the states of Alaska and Hawaii, and all off-shore territories and possessions, such as Puerto Rico. There are 50 US states, but only 48 are 48 contiguous states. Alaska and Hawaii are the only 2 that are not part of the mainland and do not have a border with the other 48 states.
Yes. The US has 48 contiguous states (states next to each other) and two that are not contiguous, Hawaii and Alaska.
The contiguous United States are often referred to as the "lower 48". There are 48 contiguous states. Alaska and Hawaii are separated from the "lower 48" by Canada and the Pacific Ocean, respectively.
