People associate complex mathematics such as calculus and statistics with programming. Why I will never understand. I have known good programmers with little to zero math skills.

Really all you need to know to become a programmer is the following:

* Basic arithmetic skills

* Knowledge of algebra

* Knowledge of geometry (optional, but helps when designing graphics to be used in a program)

* Proficiency in a computer programming language (I recommend learning C++, Java, or HTML. C++ and Java are both good languages to make executable files and knowledge of HTML is desirable now because web app developers are becoming more and more widespread).
