The United Kingdom is a socialist democratic monarchy. To simplify it, there is a queen who has a ceremonial position. Then much like the congress is the USA they have a House of Lords and the House of commons. The head of state in the UK is called the prime minister. Citizens of the united kingdom much like the USA still vote for elected representatives. The government owns businesses like British airways similar to Ikea of Sweden. The proceeds from the business go back to the people Another example of the UK and it's ties to socialism is government provides health care for the people.

The same as today: a bicameral parliamentary democracy with a constitutional monarch, the lower house (the House of Commons) being elected by the adult population. The ruling parties were: 1916-1922 Coalition headed by David Lloyd George of the Liberals

1922-1923 Conservative headed by Andrew Bonar Law

1923-1924 Conservative headed by Stanley Baldwin

1924 (Jan-Nov) Labour headed by Ramsey MacDonald

1924-1929 Conservative headed by Stanley Baldwin

1929-1931 Labour headed by Ramsey MacDonald

Much the same as now I guess, a constitutional monarchy, as such. Women didn't have the vote though, the main parties were Liberal & Conservative. There was a conflict of interest between the 'Ruling Classes' and the population at large... I'm not sure if at that time you had to own property to have a vote....
