a swamp, lake , and sometimes , grassy lands
A Trumpeter Swan is named as such because of the distinctive trumpet-like call it makes, which can be heard over long distances. The sound is loud, clear, and resonant, similar to the sound of a trumpet being played.
Hmm I'd rather not type out all the information on the habitat although if you had just typed in the name onto a search engine with or without habitat you would have found it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trumpeter_Swan#Range_and_habitat
It lives in a forest type of habitat
There are about seven types of swans.1. Mute Swan -- the entirely white swan that is found mostly in Europe and Asia; this is the type of swan that is revered in a number of cultures and that has been immortalized in The Ugly Ducking and Swan Lake.2. Black Swan -- found mostly in southern Australia and has been reintroduced into New Zealand3. Black-necked Swan -- native to South America4. Trumpeter Swan -- found in North America, particularly in Alaska5. Whooper Swan -- essentially the European/Asian counterpart to the Trumpeter Swan6. Tundra Swan -- split into two types (Bewick's Swan and the Whistling Swan); large numbers found in Arctic areas7. New Zealand Swan -- extinct; fossils suggest that it was a subspecies of the Black SwanAnd then there is of course the Natalie Portman Swan -- the Swan Queen ;)
