Civilians rode motor-scooter & drove "ditty-wagons" 3-wheeled little pick-up trucks. Farmers and business men drove beat up old flat-bed trucks of numerous manufacturers. US Sailors rode around in either PBRs (fiberglass riverine boats) or aluminum Swift Boats; US Airmen traversed North & South Vietnam in their war jets; US Army/Marine infantrymen rode around in choppers; US tank crewmen rode around in M48 Patton, M551 Sheridan tanks or M113 ACAVs (Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicles); Non combat personnel rode around in M151 1/4 tons (standard army jeeps), or Dodge 3/4 tons (pick-up trucks), or 1 1/2 tons (deuce and a halfs). MP's rode around in V-100 Armored Cars or Gun trucks.
