You could replace it with a 3A fuse. You should never replace a fuse with one which is rated higher.

What are the parts of scientific methodology?

In it's simplest form the scientific method consist of the following (1 is the actual instigation of the method not techincally a part of it but obviously it is essential for it to happen) 1: Observe a given phenomena in the natural world 2: Guess at what it might be, i.e. theorise 3: Form an hypothesis to explain/predict what the theory is saying about the world 3a: the hypothesis should preferably be falsifiable i.e. it should be able to negate the hypothesis being true 3b: If not falsifiable it should at the very least produce a verifiable outcome 4: Test hypothesis using experimental design (eg. double blind testing, experimental verification via observation. 4a: Repeat experiment as much as is pragmatically possible to eliminate error 5: Produce a conclusion based off this logical outcome and submit it to peers in the relevant field for criticism. 5a: The experiment MUST be repeatable so that other scientists can verify any given outcome on their own to eliminate user bias 5b: The results must preferably be able to lead to some conclusion for further study, there is very rarely and "end of the line" in an experiment that isn't testing something specific or already known about. 6: Obtain sex through your prefered gender, due to you popularity of your following of steps 1-5 (ok clearly that was a joke.)

How are cells cloned?

1Eggs are coaxed to mature in a culture dish. Each has a remnant egg cell called the polar body and cumulus cells from the ovary clinging to it. 2While an egg is held still with a pipette, a needle is used to drill through the zona pellucida, removing a plug. 3After ejecting the zona plug, the needle is inserted back in the egg through the hole to withdraw and discard the polar body and the egg's genetic material. 4A cumulus cell from another egg is taken up into the needle. Cells called fibroblasts (or their nuclei) can also be used in this step. 5The cumulus cell is injected deep into the egg that has been stripped of its genetic material. 6The injected egg is exposed to a mixture of chemicals and growth factors designed to activate it to divide. 7After roughly 24 hours, the activated egg begins dividing. The cells contain genetic material only from the injected cumulus cell. 8By the fourth or fifth day, a hollow ball of roughly 100 cells has formed. It holds a clump of cells called the inner cell mass that contains stem cells. 9The blastocyst is broken open, and the inner cell mass is grown in a culture dish to yield stem cells. 10The stem cells, in turn, can be coaxed to grow into a variety of cells that might one day be injected into patients.

The independent variable in a experiment may cause a change in?

Rather than answer your question directly I'll describe the scientific process. 1. Make an observation: I still get sunburn after swimming even if I use waterproof sunscreen. 2. Form a hypothesis: Waterproof sunscreen washes of just as fast as regular sunscreen. 3. Design an experiment: 3A. Identify an independent variable that you can control: how long I am in the water 3B. Identify a dependent variable that you can measure and that you think will vary in a predictable fashion as you change the independent variable: How much of a burn do I get after an hour in the sun. 4. Perform the experiment and collect data: 4A. Do a control experiment: Compare waterproof sunscreen to regular sunscreen (apply one to one arm and one to the other) and see if they preform similarly without water exposure. 4B. Do the rest of the experiments: Put regular sunscreen on side of your back and waterproof on the other. Sit neck deep in water in the shade for 10 minutes (or however long you choose for your experiment). Every 10 minutes sit higher in the water so that a larger portion of you back with sunscreen is no longer immersed. Mark the water level on your back for each interval. Finally, lie in the sun with your back exposed long enough to start seeing an effect. 5. Analyze the data: Compare the normal sunscreen side to the waterproof side to see if the waterproof side is the same or better. 6. Modify your hypothesis to better explain the data: Water proof sunscreen retains its effectiveness but only if you spend less than an hour in the water. 7. Test your new hypothesis using the method above. 8. If you are satisfied with the predictive ability of your hypothesis you can explore other aspects of the observation: Will swimming versus sitting still in the water effect how long waterproof sunscreen maintains its effectiveness in the water. If you read through my description you will find the answer to the question posed. Max L.

How do you remove a stopper from your bathtub if it's the kind that you turn and it goes up or down?

Turn the stopper until it closes. Then use a pair of pliers and turn the stopper top counter-clockwise. This should unscrew the stopper.AnswerAlso if the stopper is up you can use a small Phillips driver to loosen the small set screw underneath. More Detailed AnswerYou can always try drain cleaner, but some times it won't work. I have seen pens, earrings, rings, all sorts of stuff in drain that generally is the start of the obstruction. I usually opt to remove the stopper first, see if it can be cleaned manually, then resort to drain cleaner, then finally call an expert and get charged several hundred dollars. But the new push stoppers can be so much fun. Kind of embarrassing because it usually takes five minutes or less to remove these things once you know how, but getting to that point will take an hour or so of digging, phone calls, or a trip to the hardware store. There are at least four different types of push stoppers that I have heard of. All can be removed from the tub side.1. Type 1: One type is the first answer above.2. Type 2: Second answer above. If you put your head down in the tub and pull the stopper up, rotate the whole thing, you may come across a small set screw underneath the stopper on the center post that you unscrew a little ways and the assembly will lift up.3. Type 3: Phillips screw is in the center of the spindle.3a. The stopper can be two pieces. Remove the knob at the top of the stopper. Usually hold down the base and just turn the knob.3b. This will reveal a copper spindle or center with a hole in the middle.3c. On some of those middle pieces, there is a Phillips screw in the center, and you will put a small Phillips head screwdriver in, remove the set screw being careful not to drop it when you remove it. If there is no screw in the middle (Phillips screwdriver just goes all the way through) may have type 4 below.4. Type 4: Kind of a combination.4a. Remove the knob as discussed in 3 above.4b. The center spindle will be round but have a flat side. Use a crescent wrench and make sure one part of the wrench is firm against that side, then turn the copper spindle counter clockwise and it should unscrew. Then you can lift the whole assembly out.

How is scientific knowledge different from faith?

A:Science deals with the natural world, while religion deals with matters of faith and morals. Sometimes religion seeks to interpret the natural world, creating clear differences between science and religion. Genesis chapter 1 says that God created the light of day before the sun and moon existed, a scientific absurdity but perfectly plausible to the ancients. It also says that grass and trees existed before the sun was created. Most importantly, science insists that the sun and stars existed long before the earth was formed.Stephen Jay Gould proposed the concept of Nonoverlapping Magisteria (NOMA). He said that the domain or magisterium for science is the empirical realm - what the universe is made from and why it works the way it does. He said that the magisterium of religion includes the ultimate meaning and moral values. These magisteria are nonoverlapping - science does not comment on the ultimate meaning of life, while religion should not comment on the natural world.A:science can only go so far. then comes God. ____________________________________________________________Per Islam religion, there are no differences between religion and Islam. It was the sense that all scientific statements that are mentioned in Quran become true and their correctness are validated through the current advances in sciences and technologies. Accordingly this matching is a proof of the divinity of Quran and that it was impossible to be a human authored text that was written from more than 14 centuries ago.
