Amelia's goal was to fly around the world and stopping in various places; sadly, she did not make it and crashed somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, or somewhere in Japan and was probably taken prisoner. However, nobody knows what REALLY happened to Amelia earhart. She also had a very strong opinion on equal rights for woman.

∙ 13y agoAmeli Earhart (1897-1937?) was an aviation pioneer. She sought to open up the frontiers of the world through flight. And, not tangentially, to establish women as capable individuals in their own right. When she was 23 (1920), US women were first guaranteed the right to vote, and she was a supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment (1923).
Earhart disappeared in the Pacific in 1937 during a bold attempt to become the first woman to fly around the world.
