Whether corn flakes were John's favorite food is debatable. In his solo years, John would often order corn flakes with cream as his breakfast when he stayed at hotels. But he often just ordered tea and toast. John maintained a macrobiotic diet during those years, preferring grain products to standard breakfast fare such as bacon and eggs. During The Beatles' era, John wrote two songs related to corn flakes: "I Am The Walrus" had one line about "sitting on a corn flake", and the song, "Good Morning, Good Morning" was inspired by a jingle for a British corn flake cereal commercial.
