Fox hunting was Washington's favorite sport, but he was also very involved in fishing (he later developed the largest inland fishing fleet in America on the Potomac River), horseback riding and throwing objects long distances (tossing the bar) just to name a few.
George Washington, it seems, was an avid fox hunter. Ironically, the British command called him "The Fox" because of his ability to escape when seemingly surrounded.
