Lewis & Clark are known for exploring the Pacific Ocean. They took a big route; Started out in Illinois, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, thru the snake river to Washington and there they wound up by the Pacific Ocean. A couple of years later, Zebulon Pike explored The Mississippi River, Arkansas River, and parts of Colorado & Mexico. Spanish troops soon arrested Pike and his men and took them to Mexico. When Pike came back to the U.S. the Spanish took from him his maps & journals, but he hid one of his maps in a barrel in his gun. In honor of Pike's explorations for America Zebulon Pike has a Mountain named after him called Pike's Peak. You would probably travel to Colorado to see this historic landmark.
