There are many deadly influenza viruses, but one of worst ones (currently infecting birds mostly), is the H5N1 avian flu virus. It can be transmitted from birds to humans which causes an uncontrollable immune reaction in the infected individual. The lungs of the victims rapidly become inflamed and filled with blood and other fluids and they eventually die from the build up of fluids in the lungs. Approximately 50% of humans who are infected by the H5N1 virus die of the disease.
