No, he moved away from family so that he could start his own business. His dad thought that it was a dumb idea and that he wouldn't make any money being a cartoonist. Good thing that Walt Disney didn't listen to that!

Walt Disney and his wife Lillian had 2 daughters Diane and Sharon (Sharon was adopted). His daughters adored him as he did them. He was a terrific father, and gave them anything they wanted. He taught them to bike at his studio in Burbank, and one Christmas gave them a little play house cottage. Every weekend, him and his two daughters would go to a park or merry-go-round someplace. He created Disneyland for them, and also made the movie Mary Poppins for them.
