Tecumseh was one of the Indian leaders in the war of 1812. He believed that the settlers had no right in claiming land; that it was land for all of the tribes to share. He ended up dying in Canada after going into a treaty with Britain.
Tecumseh's role was to rally tribes and convince them to ally with the British against the US.
