Tecumseh was one of the Indian leaders in the war of 1812. He believed that the settlers had no right in claiming land; that it was land for all of the tribes to share. He ended up dying in Canada after going into a treaty with Britain.

Although Tecumseh never saw himself as British or Canadian- he was a Shawnee chief, he was a genuine hero who helped save Canada.

People idolized him as a great and generous hunter and warrior.

Americans considered him the chief of their enemies, and made him into an almost mythological figure

Was a wonderf orator and performer he had a quality called "charisma".

People who heard him speak were in awe of the power and beauty of his speaking voice, and of the way he presented a message.
