In a big way. The Germans launched what was called "The Blitz", in which London and outlying areas were bombed constantly for months. Were it not for the British airmen who fought them off, the war could have been lost in this phase.

Germany did not surrender on D-Day. Many individual German soldiers surrendered, but Germany kept on for a further 9 months of battle before giving in.
They call it the Battle of Britain. The Brits were prepared for months.

If you mean the atomic bomb, they were Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But all industrial cities in Japan were heavily bombed by the Allies in the latter months of the war.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the summer months are between June 21st and September 21st. Germany is in the Northern Hemisphere.
