Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Land is widely considered to be their best album. It is their best selling album with 30 million copies sold and won Album of the Year at the GRAMMY Awards. It topped Rolling Stones magazines "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". And the songs "With A Little Help From My Friends", "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", "A Day In The Life" as well as "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever" (tracks recorded during the same sessions but released as a single before the album) are also featured on Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Songs list.

This was a compilation album with all 27 of their biggest hits. All of the songs were composed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, except track 24, by George Harrison.
