The weather in the Rhode Island Colony was pretty mush the same as weather in the State of Rhode Island today. Warm but not opressive summers, often with sea breezes, sufficient rain, sometimes thunder, sometimes fog. Snow storms and occasional blizzards in winter, cold but also some warm days.

Roger Williams was the founder of Rhode Island along with Anne Hutchinson, but Williams is considered the founder. Williams founded Rhode Island to escape religious prosecution, and make a colony just for Puritans like him.
Roger Williams founded Rhode Island. He also welcomed all religions. He felt that the colonies should have a separation between the Church and the State.
