Spike's daughter, Emma, is now a teenager and is getting ready to attend Degrassi, along with her friends, Manny and JT. Spike, and the old gang of Degrassi, are reuniting for the first time in a while. Emma has an online penpal that she e-mails regularly, but she keeps it a secret from her mom. When she suggests meeting him in person to Manny, JT, and Toby they try to convince her it's a bad idea. Later that night, Emma asks her mom's friend Caitlin about boys and decides that she should meet him.
Meanwhile, the old high school gang is getting together for their ten year reunion. Joey has a daughter named Angela, owns a car lot and is a recent widower. Lucy is no longer blind and fully recovered from her car crash. Caitlin is engaged to a movie producer named Keith. Joey talks to Caitlin about their past and they decide to be friends. Just the thought of the reunion is enough to make Joey not want to go but with some encouragement from Snake and Lucy he goes after all.
