Land bridge theory
it was believed that land bridges could explain the occurrence of species in separate continents and the resemblances of geologic formations on different continents. Many land bridges were criss-crossing large areas of ocean. However, when the sea bed of the Atlantic Ocean was mapped using echo sounding between 1924 and 1927, no remains of land bridges could be found. Though this was a strong argument for Alfred Wegener's theory of continental drift, it would take about 50 more years until mainstream geology fully acknowledged the motion of continents.
Prehistoric land bridges linked Asia to North America, mainland Asia to Indonesia, and the island of New Guinea to Australia. Modern land bridges connect Africa to Asia and North and South America to each other. Ironically, we have found them inconvenient, and built canals across both of them.
The so called land bridge idea concerning the settlement of Native Americans has gathered much support. The thought is that Alaska and what is now Russia were connected. This was a possible means of transfer of Asians to the Western Hemisphere.
The theory is that migrations from one continent to another were enabled by land bridges. These were islands or other landforms that were above sea level that could be traveled upon. One of the most famous is the Bering Strait, where Asian peoples traveled to north america centuries ago.
A bridge formed by a narrow strip of land connecting two or more land masses
the land bridge was a pieace of long land that formed and made Immigration from Asia to America
for the native Americans
The Beringia was named after a European explorer named Vitus Bering. It connected Alaska and Asia together. It is said that Asians followed the animals they were hunting into America.
The Bering-land bridge was used for crossing from Asia to Alaska. The Native Americans didn't cross it because they were already there. Have a good life ^_^
It was a piece of land that existed a long time ago and stretched from modern day Siberia to modern day Alaska.
land bridge is a narrow strip of land that joins two larger landmasses.
Beringia. Otherwise known as the Bering Land Bridge.
Mexico, along with Central America, is considered a land bridge because it is a narrower strip of land that joins the continents of North and South America.
The Beringia land bridge was created when the sea levels were lowered as water was stored in the ice caps and glaciers. As the ice caps and glaciers melted, the land bridge became submerged.
This theory explains how prehistoric people migrated to the Western Hemisphere over a land bridge from Siberia to Alaska.
There is no purpose of the Panama land bridge or isthmus. It formed over millions of years due to plate tectonic activity and completed about 3 million years ago.

Beringia separates Siberia and Alaska
Asia was linked to North America by what is called Beringia, or the Bering Straight Land Bridge, about 16000 years ago, and at other earlier times. There is a link below to an article on Beringia.

A land bridge does not separate places. A land bridge connects them.
