hell

it was not just only hell. it was dreadful

the way they were treated was awful.

when they were captured they were

- locked in chains which were bolted around their necks, ankles and wrists

- put on the ship

- after that there was very little space

- they had to go to toilet where they was laid

- they had 2 spoonfuls of food

- they were whipped

- in groups they were taken to the top deck and thrown sea water over them and they cuts from them being whipped blistered after the sea water

- people died on the ship

- the smell was very stinky and appalling

not to mention they don't know anybodys language because they were taken from different tribes and taken away from their families

after the ship they were dressed up for auction

- tar was put over there cuts to look healthy it burned them

- women were raped

- clothes were put on them.

- during auction they were poked by the white people to make sure there was in healthy condition

after the auction

- they got sent to their buyers which would their owners

- they would have to work

- if they tried to run away the slave catchers would catch them with the dogs

- when they caught them they would get one of their foot chopped in half

- men would get their private parts chopped off or half their foot
