The only program I can think of that ( Disneyland- later Mickey Mouse Club) excepted that had anything to do with Amusement Parks was the Banana Splits. they were anthropomorphic animal characters ( human actors) and did a sort of pantomime routine while hopping around dune buggies in a very real amusement park in the come-ons and fade outs- Over hill and Highway the Banana Buggies go. One of them, Snork, was an elephant. Not a bad pun on the trunk- used as a siphon as on the submarine snorkel!
