They first tried moving to Amsterdam but were not happy so they returned to Enland. In 1620 they decided to go to VA and settle a few miles from Jamestown, but a storm blew them off course and they landed in Massachusetts. They came to the new world with the full intention of staying and living according to their beliefs.

∙ 13y agoThere wasn't really a reason as to why it was founded. It was actually a mistake on the Mayflowers fault. It was taken off-course and landed there where they set up Plymouth.
