Diana did little for Wales- she earned the title 'Princess of Wales' by dint of having married Prince Charles, whose title is 'Prince of Wales'. However, she showed little interest in the nation or it's people during her Royal marriage- occasionally she toured the Welsh Valleys, or opened some centre for disabled or homeless people during her marriage to Charles, but she never bothered with Wales after they divorced, and never even bothered to learn to speak Welsh properly.
Not many Welsh people were that concerned when she was killed in a car crash at the end of August 1997. A book of condolence was opened at St.David's Cathedral in Pembrokeshire, but at the end of the day it was only half-full.
