If you were rich it was great! You got to sit in the shaded areas and got served refreshments. Whereas if you weren't so rich you would have to stand up. You would be closer to the stage but it was very uncomfortable and it normally got quite rowdy because the heckling would get out of hand at time.
Really? Go read Romeo and Juliet. Everybody dies.
William Shakespeare went to London to work on his plays and writings. His wife stayed behind to take care of the children.
Yes there are still plays going on
The Puritans thought all plays were sinful which is why they banned them when they came into power in 1642. They were religious fanatics who felt that if people were going to go somewhere and listen to something, they should go to church and listen to sermons. Certain plays have also attracted the ire of the Catholic church, especially Measure for Measure which portrays the Duke masquerading as a priest and taking confession from people, and then proposes marriage to a nun. They didn't like King John much either, as the Papal legate is not painted in a nice light.
Pretty much like most other kids: play, eat, sleep, go to school.
Susanna. Judith was 32 when she married Quiney.
Shakespeare's plays have been the subject of more criticism than anything else in English literature. A fairly specific Google search should get you a few interesting returns. An even better idea is to go to the Shakespeare section of a bookstore, and better yet is to go to the Shakespeare section of a college or university library, if you can get access to one.
The plays at the globe started around 2 o'clock. Villagers would have dinner and a pint of ale then would go, if the flag was flying. If it wasn't it meant the play was cancelled due to bad weather as the theatre had no roof.
"go on" simple means continue or keep going that's all it is ;)
I'm not positive this is the one your looking for but... "Go ask his name: if he be married. My grave is like to be my wedding bed."
Different girls like different places! I am a girl so I'm going to tell you were I like to go: I like to go out to eat, bowling, or the movies!
Well you should if you really like her!
