Good answer but if the person who posted the question is referring to the original twelve apostles/disciples than they were charged with spreading the gospel to every nation and leading the early church.

∙ 11y agoThe disciples of Jesus, especially the ones who became Apostles traveled throughout the known world evangelizing every place they went. The Good news of Jesus Christ was told to who ever would listen. Those who heard and believed told others the story and so on until we come to our age. The Gospel has been handed down from generation to generation. It is our responsibility to go out and tell others also.
