The post World War 1 borders of Hungary were the same as the present borders except for a very small area near Bratislava. (In 1939-41 Hungary annexed about a quarter of Slovakia, the Capartho-Ukraine, part of Romania and part of Yugoslavia - but lost all those areas in 1944-45).
Austria and Hungary became two states, with considerably less territory than before the war.

No. Before 1920 (treaty of trianon) Transylvania was part of Hungary (Austria-Hungary) - then Transylvania was became a part of Romania. "The treaty greatly redefined and reduced Hungary's borders. From its borders before World War I, it lost 72% of its territory, which was reduced from 325,111 square kilometres (125,526 sq mi) to 93,073 square kilometres (35,936 sq mi)"

If you are talking during the first world war then the only people who lost land were France and Russia I think and definetly Serbia which was conquered by austri-Hungary However post world war Germany lost land due to the treaty of versaille as well as Austria-Hungary
There was no Austria-Hungary after WWI it was broken up after the first world war
The main treaties after WW1 include the Treaty of St. Germain, which dissolved Austria-Hungary and held votes to move certain conflicting populations. The Treaty of Trianon dealt with Hungary's borders. The Treaty of Sevres dealt with the Ottaman Empire's troubled borders. Finally, the Treaty of Neuilly dealt with Bulgaria's borders. It was a World War because a man killed the archduke of Austria-Hungary in Sebia. Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. Serbia had an alliance with Russia and then Russia joined the war. Russia was in the Triple Entante and pulled Britain and France into the war. Austria-Hungary had alliances with Germany and the Ottoman Empire. They also joined the war. That is why World War I was a world war.
The immediate events were the strengthening of the borders; barbed wire fences went up quickly, later the Berlin Wall. Tensions built up in some of those borders, erupting into war, e.g. Korea.
