- The rabbit's appetite for hay could be "spoiled" for awhile, and a reduction in fibre in the diet can lead to cecal dysbiosis or other digestive problems, and from there again to GI stasis; a long-term reduction in fibre can also lead to dental illness.
- A diet high in sugar can lead in the long-term to obesity, which itself can lead to organ illnesses; Arthritis, sore hocks, or other structural/bone illnesses; and skin illnesses because the rabbit has reduced mobility and ability to groom itself.
- If the rabbit consumes too many apple seeds, poisoning could result (apple seeds are toxic to rabbits).
- Nothing, i.e. you got lucky.
