There is no specific major at the undergraduate level. Among the undergraduate courses that are useful when one applies to a physical therapist education program are anatomy, Biology, chemistry, physics, social science, mathematics, and statistics. Before granting admission, many programs require volunteer experience in the physical therapy department of a hospital or clinic.

A specific minor is not required to obtain a degree in Physical Therapy. However, if you choose a minor, I would suggest you minor in something the will enhance your primary program of study, and make it something useful. You should be advised, that a BA in Physical Therapy in becoming scarce. If there are any colleges out there that still offer a BA in Physical Therapy it will be short-lived. Most colleges have made it into a Master's Degree, and there is some speculation it may be changed to a Doctorate in the future. There are some community colleges that offer an Associates of Applied Science Degree(AAS) as a Physical Therapy Assistant. However, if your thinking about a career as a Therapist think higher degrees.
