By proof I am thinking you mean still packaged, there are several other things that would make it more valuable such as the mint marks the dates, etc. I figure you know this already if you are collecting them you can do a search on Canadian Coins for which you have, but I will include here some sites to get you going

There is no such coin. Canada did not have any coins over 50 cents in 1871.
