if earth were the size of jupiter, its gravitational pull would have been so high that it would have attaracted the atmosphere towards itself leading to "no ozone layer" and there would have been no life possible. because:- gravitational force(F)=GmM --- r*r according to universal law of gravitation..

Some scientists theorize the existence of a Goldilocks zone. I am almost positive that we are in the middle. Everything in that area can have life. Although, places outside of the zone can supposedly have life but it is harder to grow and develop. If we got just a little closer or further away, I doubt anything would happen. If we somehow get out of this "Goldilocks" zone, some bad things may happen.
