Daylight saving time was observed in Calgary and Edmonton in 1967 and 1969, and in other years since Sunday April 30, 1972 at 3:00 am. Curiously there was a province-wide plebiscite on May 23, 1967. The proposition lost by 51.25%. It appears that the Calgary and Edmonton continued with it in 1967, missed 1968, tried again in 1969, and then discontinued until 1972. After that it seems to have gone continuously, and province-wide. Or at least in Calgary and Edmonton.
