When a product states that it contains organic sugar, it means that the sugar used in the product was not harvested after being sprayed with pesticides, it wasn't genetically modified. Basically it's just sugar, plain and simple, natural and sweet. However, it's important to note that just because a product claims to contain organic sugar, does not mean it has to have ONLY organic sugar. Any product can claim to have organic sugar but it can ALSO have modified food additives that aren't necessarily good for you or your loved ones like acesulfame-K, Aspartame or high fructose corn syrup or red dye 40. In general it's best not to trust the front labels that face customers on the shelves, but to read the labels on the back of the box or jar or bag that have the true ingredients listed in order of amount used.
