Henry I of England, the fourth son of William the Conqueror, was born around 1068-1069, and died on December 1, 1135. He succeeded his elder brother, William II, in 1100, and reigned until his death on December 1, 1135, when he was succeeded, legally speaking by Empress Matilda, but in reality by King Stephen.
