Princess Diana was injured in a car accident in Paris on the 31 August 1997 aged 36. She died several hours later from a cardiac arrest.
Dodi Al-Fayed and driver Henri Paul were also killed in the accident. Bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones survived although seriously injured.

After a car crash in Paris she was taken to hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning where surgeons tried for two hours to save her life but she died at 0300 BST 31st August 1997.
