The Moors invaded Spain in April 710 with 9,000 t0 10,000 troops. They landed at Jabal Tariq (Gibraltar). The conquest was completed the following year when a second Moorish army of 18,000 joined the invading forces.

Both Portugal and Spain stayed out of the war. Spain helped Hitler and Portugal helped England as much as possible without actually participating in the fighting.
