Dinosaurs lived and died throughout the triassic, Jurassic, and cretaceous. Most of the really big herbivorous dinosaurs were Jurassic behemoths. All of the dinosaurs disappeared at the end of the cretaceous, about 65 million years ago.

The dinosaurs have been projected to have died around the menosoic era which is exactly 69.4 million years ago. The most common theory why is that an asteroid hit Earth and giant tsunamis emerged from earthquakes under the India-Asia continental plate. Which destroyed all sea and animal life in most of Africa, Asia and Europe. Which than destroyed the entire world's food chain and led to the dinosaurs demise.

in the cretaceous period. Dinosaurs roamed the earth for 160 million years until their sudden demise some 65.5 million years ago, in an event now known as the Cretaceous-Tertiary, or K-T, extinction event. (“K” is the abbreviation for Cretaceous, which is associated with the German word “Kreidezeit.”)
