The game needs to be installed on the computer and no you don't have to put the patch on a CD.
No you can not, you need the disk in order to play.
You cannot play the sims without downloading the game to your hard drive and you need the disk bought at Walmart or target for an amount of 20.00$ or cheaper on Ebay so the answer is NO Hope this helped :)
ok. All you have to do is put in disk 1. While it is downloading you will play a litle game of memory. Soon it will say 'Please insert disk 2' that will repaet for disk 3 & 4. Then it will ask do you want to play? There you go.
The system disk is the partition from which the operating system was loaded at startup.
I ordered the complete edition and it does not have disk 1 but I have an original copy of the sims. Since you need disk 1 to put the other disks on the game, can I just use my original sims disk?
Yes, the SIMS 3 expansions will download if you are able to get a disk copy.
no
There are a few different external disk drives you can get that will play Sims 3. You can try getting the 250g external disk drive.
when you install a sims 2. for example sims 2 university. there are two disk because it is such a big expansion pack. so put the first disk in and then the second disk. or you might have to update yours sims, because when you get an expansion pack you need to update with all the other expansion packs on your computer
Disk 2 dounloads some more stuff with the game, that they couldn't fit on 1 disk. But you only use disk 1 to play Sims, er I only use the Disk 1. I hope i helped.
I have an iMac running snow leopard and a MacBook pro running lion. On both computers, I have the latest version of the game with no expansion packs. It works fine on my MacBook but always gives me the "disc authentication error" on my iMac. I don't know for sure if this will work for you, but you might try upgrading to Lion if you haven't already.
no, you do not need your Sims 3 disk, but you will need the disk for the expansion pack you want to install.
