Although some people continue to deny the existence of the Yeti, footprints have been identified in various places throughout the Himalayan region of Tibet and Nepal. Footprints were recorded in 1899 by Laurence Waddell in his book titled 'Among the Himalayas'.
The yeti has been spotted in the Himalaya mountains in Asia.

Since a Yeti has not been proven to exist, there is no scientific name for it and it's offspring would also be called a Yeti.

They have been sighted in Florida and may be escaped zoo-animal chimpanzees, Baboons or similar simians.
It is impossible to tell exactly when the first sighting was. Mountain people in Nepal have been seeing Yeti for hundreds of years. The Yeti hasn't really been discovered yet, but a footprint was found in the 1950s that some claim is the footprint of a Yeti. There is no evidence to date to support this claim.
The yeti has not yet been proven to exist, so tales of its ferocity may be highly exaggerated.
